Here we are in November and so Christmas is looming!  We started out getting some things done at our Christmas Workshop in October.  I think I can safely say that we all enjoyed the day and all were pleased with the projects they completed.  I must give a special thanks to my Daughter, Rachell and my Husband Tony because they kept the food and drinks up to us while the workshop was happening.

Here are the projects made and the girls hard at work or I should really say at play.

This card is  made using  the Scentsational Season Bundle Wood $64.50(129945) Clear $58.50 (129946) and then the little gingerbread men were embossed using the Sugar and Spice embossing powder which leaves the smell of Sugar and Spice, believe it or not!  Sentiment is from More Merry Messages in the annual catalogue Wood $56.95 (126400) and Clear $45.95 (126402)  I just love this set!
This card was CASED by one I saw by another demonstrator, but I can't remember her name, sorry.

The next card  is one of my own designs using the Ornaments Keepsakes Bundle Wood $87.95 (129949) Clear 77.95 (129950) which includes the stamp set and the framelits as well.  This works out cheaper than buying them individually.  I embossed the ornaments using Wild Wasabi Embossing Powder which gave it a nice shiny finish and really made them pop when placed on a couple of dimensionals.  The white card was embossed with the new textured folder called Lacy Brocade (127819) in the Holiday Catalogue, a very pretty one, I think. The stamped sentiment is Heart of Christmas (128129) $15.95 also from the Holiday Catalogue.  Then I used the stitched ribbons to hang and decorate the ornaments.  The Scallop Trim Border Punch (118402) $27.95 along the sides just added a bit more dimension between the cherry cobbler card base and the whisper white.

Here are some of the  projects I have been working for Christmas.  I must say I LOVE CHRISTMAS!
it is such a wonderful time of year and although there is so much work to do, it still brings much joy.

Spring is here and that means so is our new 2012-2013 Annual Catalogue and also the 2012-2013 Holiday Catalogue!  They have so many beautiful NEW products in them it is hard to take it all in and then we have to decide what to order and if we can bear to not have any of them in the first order.!!!  I know personally that I had a hard time deciding what to get and what to leave for a little while, bearing in mind that this catty will be with us for 10 months to bring it's distribution in line with the United States.  The Holiday catty is here until 31st January.

Remember, you can order from me at any time.

I will be holding a 'Preparing for Christmas'  day at my house here in Mornington.  We will be making this lovely ornament and will also do a couple of Christmas cards as well.  There will be a small cost of  $15
each to help cover the cost of the materials for these projects.
I will provide the food, some bubbly, tea and coffee.

Last Saturday was the Stampin Up Heartfelt Event  held at the Melbourne Convention Centre.  What an awesome day we had!   So many wonderful new products about to be launched in our new 2012-2013 Annual Catalogue and then there is also the fabulous new Holiday mini.  Just wait until you see all the lovely things we will be able to create and make.

This little dress is the card I made for the display board.
We took photos of each other's cards to use as further inspiration.
For this card I used the new Designer Series Paper "Summer Smooches" that will be available 1st September.  This is thanks to my lovely daughter Rachell who said "that paper would look lovely as a little girl's dress!"  And so the idea was born!  I used the "Boho Blossom Punch" (119858) for the little flowers and then some rhinestones in the top three.  For the hem, I cut out the layers using my "Adorning Accents Edgelit Dies" (125595)and then embossed them with the "Textured Impressions Embossing Folders" (125601)  The bottom white layer is attached to the bottom back of the inside of the card so you see it from the front and when you open it is a lovely edge for the inside of the card.  For the collar I used the piece that was left after cutting the bottom with the edgelit.  I just pleated two pieces together, then ran a piece of sticky strip around the neckline and attached it.  The white ribbon is a piece of grosgrain simply tied in a bow.

We had  a make and take time where there were some great ideas done with the new stamp set called Clockworks.  Here are my finished projects for you to have a look at.

Below are some photos of the individual projects for a closer look.
I am really pleased with the way my scrapbook page turned out.  I used a black and white photo of my Husband Tony and his little Sister Diane from their younger days in England on the beach.  I am still enjoying making rosettes with my "Simply Scored Scoring Tool" (122625)
Love, love, love this little gift card holder and gift cards.  The flower is made using the "Fancy Flower Punch" (118073)!  The little gift card box is made from the "Two Tags Die"    I do have this die and now I will have another great use for it which is just awesome........
This birthday card is so adorable and the envelope has been made using the "Simply Scored Diagonal Plate" (125586)  so easy peasy and using Vellum Card makes it just a little more interesting.

Hope you enjoy looking at these projects and if you would like to have me demonstrate any at a party for you and your friends, or, place an order for any of the products you like then contact me.

Until next time..........

August is here and with it much anticipation for the posting of the Retirement list from our current 2011-2012 catalogue.  These items will only be available for August and only until stock runs out.  Some of our favorites are going to make way for many new ones, our new 2012-2013 catty that will be available from 1st September.  We will also have a new Holiday mini that starts 1st September.  So excited..........

Check out the retiring products by clicking the links below and remember if there is anything you would like, just contact me to place your order, you do not have to have a party to place an order I can order individually for you.

I have been adding some pages to my album and here is one I made using the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper.  I also had fun making the flowers using my Blossom Punch.  I got inspiration for this page from a website and I am sorry I don't remember where, and I have made a few changes to it.   This beautiful little girl is Allegra May, my first great niece.  She is so adorable and I love the way the photographer has highlighted her beautiful eyes.  It matches up perfectly with the Island Indigo card stock.

I am going to our Regionals this weekend and so I am really looking forward to a day full of wonderful inspiration that I will share with you next time.

Until then, happy Stampin!

I am very excited to tell you that I have finally used my Simply Scored Scoring Tool to make rosettes!  I know mine could still do with a little more practice, but I am delighted with the results on my scrapbooking page of my nephew Josh and his partner Sonya,  Hope you like it too.

I also had fun making the centres of the rosettes using the pleated ribbons.  I found a similar layout designed by Tania Willis and then made a few changes to it.  Very happy with the result.

Next, I made the following card and gift card holder for my friend Heather's 70th Birthday on the weekend.
I found the card idea on Splitcoast Stampers by Stamping Still, sorry it doesn't give her name.  Once I made the card it was easy to make the gift card holder to match.  The stamp set is Elements of Style and then the 70th Birthday is a sneek peak from a set called Memorable Moments that we received at Convention it will be available in the upcoming Catalogue on September 1st.  I loved the effect of stamping on vellum and then going over the reverse side with my scoring stylus to make the white highlights on the flowers.  By the way, you may have noticed there is a little bump on the top right hand corner of the card when I photographed this, but I did take the brad out and made it right before I gave it to Heather.

If you would like me to make these for you, just book a party by contacting me here and I will be most happy to oblige!

Remember, the Autum/Winter Mini Catalogue expires on 31st July so place your orders if there is anything you want from it.

On 1st August there will be a retirement list issued with all the products that won't be going forward in to the new 2012-2013 annual catalogue so it will be time to say good bye to a lot of the current ones.  Makes me sad just thinking about losing some old favourites!

Until next time,
Keep stamping!

Monday, July 9, 2012

Firstly, a reminder that the Autum/Winter Catalogue is finishing on July 31st so if there is anything you need, place an order before the month end.  You can order from me without having a party, simply let me know what you want and I can have it shipped straight to you.

August 1st will see a Retired List of Products that will be available for purchase before the new Catalogue is released on 1st September.

Now to some stamping....

This card was made using the Vintage Vogue stamp set (118598 clear or 119191 wood).  I love this set and thought I would show you both the card and the gift holder I created.  The gift holder can be used for a gift voucher or perhaps a block of Chocolate, or any sweet treats in a cello bag inside.  If you would like to know how I made either of these, please contact me and I will be happy to show you, or we could do a workshop presentation showcasing them.

My first Stampin Up Convention, held in Canberra was an awesome experience!  I loved almost all of it (didn't do too well with the make and take session) felt very rushed.  We were lacking in clear directions, but never mind we just used the products that we didn't have at home and decided to finish it later.  I still came back really inspired and my head full of ideas.  It was so nice to get to know some of the other girls in our group, who are all so nice and lots of fun, too.

I thought I would show you the swap cards I made for this event. You see there is a tradition of making cards to swap with all the other demonstrators to give you lots of fresh ideas to share with your stampin friends.  I made 95 all up, some made less and some made more.  One lady had a suit case with 300 swaps!

First of all the Audrey Hepburn dress.  My friend Betty received a card similar to this one from her niece Julie.  Betty loved it so much she sent it to me to see.  I fell in love with it straight away and did my own little tweaks and made it with all Stampin Up items.  It was a real hit with all the girls and was the first one of my three to be swapped out.  So a big thanks to Julie for making it and also most importantly to Betty for sending it to me.

The second item was a card inspired by the lovely Field Flowers stamp set, I did two cards, one using Tempting Turquoise as the colour highlight and then I also did one using Melon Mambo.  Apart from that, by using simple black and white it was quite effective.

The third item was a page marker.  We receive a newsletter from Stampin Up each month called Impressions and they showed how to make this item.  My design and colour choice is different to theirs, that's the beauty of seeing something you like, you can recreate it the same, or you can put your own creative flair to work.

Until next time.....

These are some of the cute flowers I have made using the Blossom Punch, the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set and various brads for the centres.  You could use them to adorn all sorts of projects, whether it be cards, scrapbook pages, or even on a gift box.  I have had lots of fun with these!
This card  uses the Vintage Vogue and Mixed Bunch stamp sets, Scallop Trim Border and Blossom Punches, a Rose Red Brad, Circle Punch, the sentiment is from the Saleabration Hostess stamp set called Elementary Elegance and  Rose Red Seam Binding Ribbon and Classic Ink.

A couple of Post It Note Holders using Pink Pirouette and Baja Breeze Cardstock, the Scallop Trim Border Punch once again, and of course the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set and the Blossom Punch, some taffeta Baja Breeze Ribbon and Brads.  Classic Inks I used are Baja Breeze and Island Indigo.

These are my bookmarkers using most of the above products, but I have used the Pinking Hearts Border Punch,a couple of the Boho Blossom Punches, the little flower stamps are from Language of Friendship and some White grosgrain ribbon on one of them .  These are quite fun to make!
Now this card uses our adorning accent embossing folders (the strip of tiny hearts) the embossed border for the edgelit, the adorning accent edgelit die from the Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue, White satin ribbon, Pool Party Brads, Baja Breeze and Whisper White cardstock, classic inks in Pool Party and Island Indigo and a sentiment from Happiest Birthday Wishes.
A bit of a twist this time, cutting out a couple of sections of the Blossom Punch which was stamped with the Mixed Bunch stamp set and we have a pretty butterfly!  I have used the Vintage Vogue stamp set for the backround, classic ink is Wisteria Wonder and also the ribbon is Wisteria Wonder.  The Edgelit Die and Adorning Accent Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  There is also a row of dots which is from the Bordering Romance stamp set, Scallop Circle and Circle Punches. I used some Rhinestones to add to the butterfly to dress it up a little and give it some bling!
I do love this card, I saw something similar and have cased it with my version.  Sorry, I don't remember where I saw it from originally though.  This time I have used Calypso Coral cardstock for the vase which is one of the Framelits with the bottom cut off, and then I ran it through the Bigshot in the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.  The Brads are incolour brads in Calypso Coral.  Pear Pizzazz cardstock for the backing, Whisper White and Pretty in Pink Card for one of the flowers. Pretty in Pink and Pear Pizzazz Classic Inks.  Calypso Coral Ribbon from the saleabration hostess gift set and sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments.

As you can see, I have had loads of fun using the Blossom Punch and Mixed Bunch Stamp set.   If you don't have a copy of the Autumn/Winter Mini, then just click on the photo that's on this blog page and follow the link.   If you would like me to show you how to make any of these projects, then give me a call and I will be happy to give you a demonstration.
Until next time.........
I have been playing with this lovely flower made with the Blossom Punch which is in the Autumn/Winter Mini catalogue.  The card was inspired by Patty Stamps, a video I found on You Tube.  This is my version of it.  I have used the Attic Boutique Designer Series Paper and one of the Framelits Dies to surround the sentiment from Field Flowers.   LOVE this paper and the punch is awsome!  The stamp set that goes with the punch is Mixed Bunch and I have made heaps of cards with it.  I will show you some of them, soon.  If you want to have a look how to make this flower you can  here

Wow this is very exciting!     My first blog....
What a wonderful place to start with the launch of the Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue that is full of so many wonderful products.  It is so hard to choose just a few things, so I just had to have most of them!   I have been in heaven since my first box of Stampin Up goodies arrived, using every spare moment to create lots of new projects.

I so love playing with all my beautiful Stampin' Up! products.  The first card I want to show you is the card I made using the Pedal Presents Hostess set from the Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue.  So many different ways to use it by swapping all the little stamps that come with the set and they can be changed for whatever occasion you have. You could easily do a masculine card or one for children, too.    I have used the flowers and the balloons, but there are others to choose from.  Also for this card, I have used the Sweet Shop Designer Series Paper, Framelits Die, stamps are from the Apothecary Arts and Sweet Cake sets.  I also used the Pinking Hearts Border Punch.
If you love this set as much as I do, then host a party before 31 July!

This next card has been made using the lovely Tea Shoppe Stamp Set.    I've used the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper, the framelits die to cut out the Tea For Two stamp, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon, and I just love the pinking hearts border punch.  There is also Island Indigo card stock and Ink Pad and a brad from the in colour collection.

I have many more cards to show you when time permits, but for now, thanks for looking......
